Loyola University School of Communication’s annual High School Digital Storytelling Workshop at Loyola University Chicago are now available. This year’s workshop takes place from Sunday, June 25 – Friday, June 30, 2017 at our Water Tower Campus. As a reminder, this workshop provides rising juniors and seniors interested in communication the opportunity to gain digital media skills, experience university life, and learn more about the School of Communication. Led by SOC faculty and staff, and mentored by current undergraduate students, students spend the week exploring Chicago’s neighborhoods to capture unique stories of the people and places of our city. The Acting Program includes classes in Shakespeare, On Camera Acting, Movement, Acting Techniques, Modern Performance, Directing, Musical Theatre, Writing and Improvisation. The Film Program guides students in making their own professionally quality short film suitable for festival submission. Our programs are taught exclusively in English however there are plenty of opportunities for French speakers to practice their language skills both on the program and out in the wider community on field trips and excursions.
