Summer on Campus: College Experiences for High School Students

Brookfield Zoo is open every day of the year! Hiring Now, Multiple Openings!

We have begun to post some opportunities for the 2018 season and will have many more in the coming months. Our peak recruitment period begins in mid-January and runs through mid-May each year; however, we do have openings throughout the year as Brookfield Zoo is open 365 days a year.
I am happy to share that CZS/Brookfield Zoo has increased its minimum starting wage to $12.00 per hour for most positions; some positions pay even higher depending on the job duties and requirements!
Applicants who are interested in employment at Brookfield Zoo should complete an online application at www.czs.org/careers. Visit the website for a full list of current openings and set up account to alert you when new jobs are posted. Some of the opportunities currently available on our on-line Career Center and in the near future include the following:
Admissions Associates$12.00 per hour: Assigned to work the parking booths, admission booths, Guest Relations buildings, stroller rentals, internal attraction ticket booths or entrances, and/or access control for general admission or internal attractions.
Food Service Associates $12.25 per hour: Assigned to work in restaurants, refreshment stands, mobile carts, or other outdoor sales locations. Generally you must be at least 16 years of age for this position; you must be 21 years of age to sell and serve alcoholic beverages.
Merchandise Associates $12.00 per hour: Assigned to work in gift shops, tents, souvenir stands, photo booths, and/or carts. Merchandise Associates will work in one of our several gift shop locations within the park. Previous retail experience a plus!
Motor Safari Adventure Guide $12.00 per hour: Narrate Motor Safari tours, operate the Motor Tram and carousel. Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid Driver’s License required. Ability to communicate well with the public. Previous driving experience transporting people preferred.
